Based on the needs of our own industrial development, we have built three national innovation platforms in the field of ATC and Beidou, including the National ATC Surveillance and Communication System Engineering Research center, and the National and Local Joint Laboratory of Multimode Intelligent Information Technology Research and Application Based on Beidou. In high-end equipment, traffic control system, digital audio, semiconductor lighting and other fields, we have 20 provincial-level and 8 municipal innovation platforms. Relying on these platforms , we integrate and utilize innovation resources, vigorously carry out key and core technology research, and achieve the position of major scientific research.
We are a key state-owned enterprise and the only local high-end equipment backbone enterprise with core scientific research and production capacity. We are also a leading enterprise in the research and development of civilian secondary radar system, a scientific research and production base of air traffic control(ATC) system, and a leading enterprise in the national cable TV broadband network system and digital TV equipment. We are aiming at the international advanced level, focusing on the long-term development in the future, and adhering to the high investment in innovation, the proportion of annual R & D investment has reached 5-6%. We have more than 6500 professional and technical personnel, more than 1500 high-level talents, more than 850 employees with master and doctor degree, 65 national, provincial and industry experts (including 13 experts enjoying the special allowance of the State Council), more than 6000 sets of advanced instruments and equipment, national verified environmental testing center and electronic product testing center,which makes it obtain the research and development capability of the whole system and whole process. We have been one of China's Top 100 electronic and information enterprises for 19 consecutive years, and one of China's Top 500 manufacturing enterprises for 13 consecutive years.
We have more than 300 scientific research projects each year, and has undertaken more than 150 major national innovation projects. The transformation rate of scientific and technological achievements has reached more than 90%. Many technologies and products have broken international monopoly and filled in domestic gaps, forming a series of scientific and technological achievements with completely independent intellectual property rights and effective patents more than 1890 pieces, presided over or participated in the formulation of more than 120 national, industrial and local standards, and won more than 170 major awards such as the national science and technology progress award. We have carried out industry/university/research cooperation with more than 60 well-known institutes, universities and enterprises such as China Academy of Engineering Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, University of Electronic Science and Technology, Huawei, established 7 joint laboratories, and initiated the establishment of 5 professional alliances in the fields of air traffic control, Beidou Navigation, etc.
